Google contacts not syncing? This is what you need to do!

If you have an Android phone, you must have linked your Google account to your phone.
When you link your Google account to your android phone, it imports your contacts automatically.

You can try the following troubleshooting to sync your Google Contacts:-
- 1. Check if your device is connected to the internet, if not connect to the internet and try syncing. If even then you face a problem, try the following methods.
- 2. Check the auto-sync of your device. If it is off, kindly, turn it on.
- 3. Check if you are having account issues, you need to be able to sign in to your account for sync to work.
- Try signing into your Google account from different devices, for example from your laptop or any other android phone. If you can sign in the problem is with your device.
- If you cannot, then the issue persists with your account like you may be entering the wrong username or password or old username or password or any other issue.
- 4. Check for Android updates:
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Tap On the phone or on the tablet. Go for tapping System>System updates
You will see your update status. Follow on-screen steps.
Another method is you can go for manual sync for your Google Contacts:
- 1. Open the Settings app on your device.
- 2.Tap Users & Accounts.
- 3. Tap on Account
- 4. Now, tap on More and then Sync now
If this syncs your device, your issue is fixed.
If not, then try troubleshooting with Advanced steps:

Force sync your account:
Option 1: Change date & time
Manually reset your time settings:
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Tap on System and then Date & time.
- You are required to turn off the Automatic date & time and the Automatic time zone.
- Now, change the date and time manually, so that both are wrong.
- Tap on Home.Open Settings and then System and then Date & time again.
- Again, change the date and time manually, so that both are right again.
- Now, turn on Automatic date & time and Automatic time zone.
